Chelon

The Chelon is an aquatic pet whose physiology allows it to occasionally venture up onto dry land. It is best known for its inquisitive expression and the presence of unique "gems" embedded into its shell. It has never enjoyed much popularity.

When first created, the Chelon is Common by default; this makes it primarily blue, although it has green eyes and green shell gems. Unfortunately, this pet suffers from a lack of color variety, coming in only 18 other colors, including Chibi, Glacier and Bloodred.

Criticism

Most people that dislike the Chelon generally don't have any specific complaints outside of a lack of available colors.

Some people compare it with major competitor NeoPets' Maraquan Shoyru [1], but the Turdle has been in existence significantly longer, and was modelled after the same real-life animal -- in this case, a sea turtle.

Did You Know?

• The first version of the Graveyard Chelon was a tortoise and had solid legs rather than flippers. It was later replaced with an aquatic version.
• Chelons were originally called Turdles[2], until they were revamped on April 8th 2008.
• 'Chelonia' is a real-life genus which includes turtles and tortoises.
