Dragarth

The Dragarth is a dragonlike pet noted for the presence of fur and the two horns present at the rear of its head. It is most popular with those who "collect" the dragon-based pets, although some like to use Dragarths as the subject of anthro artwork.

When first created, the Dragarth is Common by default. It is blue with lilac-colored eyes and grey accents on the underbelly, wings, and toes. It can later be changed into 20 colors, including the curiously angry Darkmatter and cheerful Chibi varities.

Criticism

Many members have remarked that the original version of the Dragarth [1] resembled Spyro [2], the dragon star featured in a large line of video games. These accusations are not without merit; the wings, horns, hair/crest, and facial configuration were quite similar. In fact, the expression was nearly identical. The staff contends that any resemblance was purely coincidental. Since then, the picture has been redrawn and the expression changed. The chibi version still resembles a baby dragon from Spyro. The Dragarth vaguely resembles the Neopets species, Shoyru. It appears to be because of the odd horn-like protrusions, the "cute dragon look", and the Common blue matching the blue of the Shoyru. However, the Dragarth is quadruped, the Shoyru biped, and both are simply based off a cute draconic creature.
