When writing a Weapon article, don't forget to check out Help:Adding an Item article first for all the basics you need.
Contents |
Basic Format
Add this to your item article, in between the Uses and Description lines. Obviously, all the things in brackets would be changed to suit the weapon's stats.
Weapon Stats: (number) damage, (number) defense.
It is very important that you use the icon images that are already uploaded to Wikibeta - don't hotlink from Subeta. If the weapon in question doesn't do any damage/defense, simply put 'no damage' or 'no defense'.
Also, make sure that you add theline to the end of the article.
Use Type
There are some different types of restrictions on weapons. These include:
- Infinite use
- Once per battle
- One use
- Semi-breakable
- One per battle
Any information on the restrictions that apply to the weapon you're adding should be put at the end of the Weapon Stats line.
Categories
When categorizing your article, there are a few different categories it may fit into. The broadest one is Category:Weapons but there are other subcategories. They are:
- Defensive Weapons
- Freezing Weapons
- Healing Weapons
- Legendary Weapons
- Offensive Weapons
- Stealing Weapons
If your weapon belongs in any of the above categories, there is no need to place it in the main 'Weapons' category.
Unknown Weapon Stats
When adding weapons with unknown weapon stats, add 'Unknown' to the Weapon Stats line and then categorize the article under Category:Missing Weapon stats.
A perfect article
The Water Elemental Staff article is an example of a perfect article.
