The Irion is best known for its resemblance to the mythical Gryphon. Its exact level of popularity is unknown, but it does seem to be on the low side.

Colors

As with all pets, Irions are Common by default; this gives them a natural brown coloring, with two green leaves within its feathers. They are only available in 20 different colors, which include the popular Chibi and Angelic varieties.
Criticism
This pet was frequently compared to a popular NeoPets breed, the Eyrie. Whether or not it is truly an imitation is unknown, but the similarity in both body type and name lend merit to the accusations.
There were also a few minor complaints occasionally voiced by Subeta's members, including the poor placement of the creature's dewclaws and the fact that it appears to be stepping on its own tail in most poses.
There was also some criticism with its recent revamp (The Irion, previously Aerie, was revamped October 06 2007), seeing as its "common" version wasn't green anymore (Similar to the problem with the Ruffie revamp). However, most users were happy with this new version of the pet.
