Magnus

The Magnus is a gargoyle-like pet with stony skin, thick limbs, protruding fangs, and a cautious expression. Due to its crossover appeal, it is a fairly popular pet, particularly amongst fans of roleplaying and fantasy.

Like all pets, the Magnus is Common by default; this gives it a uniquely stone-grey color with faintly lavender accents. It can be turned into any of 16 additional colors, including Marsh and Reborn.

Criticism

Both the Graveyard Magnus, the Angelic, and the Chibi variety lack the characteristic textured skin compared to the majority of the other colorings. These versions also feature whisker-like protrusions on the muzzle rather than fangs, which is not only inconsistent with the other colorations, but also gives the Angelic Magnus a look that more closely resembles that of a Dragon.

The Magnus has undergone several revamps.
All versions of the Magnus are featured with back spines; only Graveyard does not.
In the real world, Magnus is a name that has been bestowed upon Kings, Dukes, Popes, and Saints.
In origin, "magnus" is Latin for "big" or "great".
