Maleria (character)

Maleria, the Dark Goddess, is an NPC on Subeta. She has been part of many of the plots and runs Maleria's Quests out in The Darkside. She is seen as the polar opposite of Shinwa.

Maleria was banished from the High Circle for causing a terrible disaster, and has only been recently permitted to return to the planet under agreement not to do what she had done last time.

- Maleria's name is a play on Malaria, an infectious disease. Malaria, in turn, originates from the Medieval Italian: mala aria — "bad air"
- Maleria is the star of her own Subeta manga series - Onegai Maleria (a play on Onegai Teacher)
