The Common Manchu has a sky blue base. The blue and white striped tail is almost as long as the Manchu's body. There is a golden tribal design on its hind leg, as well as tribal "bracelet" markings on its wrists. Colors that it is available in include Galactic, Chibi and the new Nuclear.

Criticism

Many people believe that the Manchu is a copy of Momo[1], a unique 'winged Lemur' from the famous TV show, Avatar: The Last Airbender[2]. Both of them feature large ears and a flap of skin between the arms.

The chubby hind legs and hairless, clawed hind feet also attract negative attention, as they make the Manchu look like a rodent. Some users also complain that the Manchu looks rather fat, putting into question how it could possibly move around in trees, let alone fly or glide.

Other than that, there isn't a lot of drama around the Manchu, and the species is fairly unpopular.

Did You Know?

  • The Manchu resembles a ring-tailed lemur, a small prosimian (lesser primate) that lives only on Madagascar. Particularly the markings, although other unique ones were obviously added.
  • Originally, the Manchu was much more 'realistic' to the species, with truer Lemur anatomy, but Keith had the artist change it (Namely the hind feet) due to his fear of monkeys.
  • In real life, 'Manchu' can refer to the Manchu culture of Tungusic people.
